Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead responsibility for programmatic, technical and administrative management of the program including planning, implementation, quality assurance, monitoring and documentation of results.
- Oversee program planning and implementation to ensure program goals, objectives and targets are met, undertaking course correction as appropriate.
- Develop work plans, oversee implementation and track progress.
- Assist and direct field Project Coordinators with the planning and implementing of programs.
- Supervise, train and build capacity of program staff.
- Identify capacity building needs and devise development plans for all staff members.
- Conduct appraisals and provide regular, constructive feedback to staff members.
- Ensure that program procurement is in line with HRF’S policies and donor regulations.
- Monitor and supervise progress of the Livelihood & Capacity Building project activities and budget expenses according to the proposal specifications (daily, weekly, monthly etc…).
- Oversee program budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Conduct regular budget monitoring to ensure program spending is on track.
- Lead on community outreach activities. Develop and maintain networks with key actors, such as donors, local authorities and humanitarian partners in Iraq
- Any other task can be added from the line manager.
- Identify lessons learnt and best practices for future proposals and projects. Disseminate this further to relevant staff.
- Travel between project implementation locations in all the Governorates ensuring smooth project delivery.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- University educated.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, management, and coordination.
- Proven experience in implementing projects.
- Experience working in the humanitarian / development sector, able to perform and deliver in a timely manner.
- Knowledge and experience in working with UN agencies, International Organizations are an asset.
- Knowledge of climate change, environmental sustainability, and experience working with advocacy and/or education projects are strong assets.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
