Description
Introduction:
Women Empowerment Organization, in partnership with the “Strengthening Participation, Peaceful Coexistence and Equality in Iraq (SPACE)” programme funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is implementing the “Women’s Economic Empowerment Project”. The project aims to create an enabling environment for women’s meaningful participation in the economy, strengthen women’s economic empowerment and institutional collaboration, and reduce barriers to employment, entrepreneurship, and access to financial and institutional support systems in Dhi Qar and Halabja. WEO is looking for a trainer to develop financial literacy and access to formal financial services. In coordination with WEO, the trainer’s responsibilities will be:
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver two sessions of two days of in-person training (total 4 days) in the assigned governorate.
Deliver practical and interactive training to 15 beneficiaries per session, covering key financial literacy topics relevant to women entrepreneurs and small businesses, including:
Budgeting and cash flow management
Understanding loan conditions and repayment schedules
Financial risk management
Small business financial record-keeping
Use practical exercises, case studies, examples, and group discussions to help participants apply financial concepts to their own businesses or business ideas.
Design and deliver comprehensive thematic workshop tools, including PowerPoint presentations, agenda, case studies, evaluation form, pre/post-test, etc.
Prepare a final report documenting the complete process, results, recommendations, challenges, and risks, with solutions to monitor participants’ engagement and learning
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Qualifications:
Professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of financial literacy, budgeting, cash flow management, financial risk management, loan conditions and repayment schedules, and small business record-keeping.
Strong facilitation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with women participants at different levels of financial knowledge and business experience.
Language proficiency: Halabja (Kurdish & English), Dhiqar (Arabic & English)
