Position Summary
Human Relief Foundation (HRF) is seeking a qualified Peacebuilding Specialist to support the design and implementation of peacebuilding and social cohesion programs. The role aims to contribute to conflict prevention, community dialogue, and peaceful coexistence in conflict-affected communities through context-sensitive and evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and monitor peacebuilding and social cohesion activities in line with HRF project objectives.

Conduct conflict analysis and regularly assess local conflict dynamics.

Coordinate with community leaders, local authorities, and civil society organizations.

Prepare work plans, progress reports, success stories, and technical documentation related to peacebuilding activities.

Integrate conflict sensitivity and the Do No Harm approach across all project interventions.

Work closely with program, MEAL, and communications teams to ensure quality implementation and learning.

Represent HRF in coordination meetings, workshops, and peacebuilding-related forums.

Ensure compliance with HRF policies, donor requirements, safeguarding, and ethical standards

Bachelor’s degree in Peace Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset).

Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant experience in peacebuilding, social cohesion, conflict management, or humanitarian/development programming.

Proven experience in community-based programming and field-level implementation.

Strong understanding of local conflict dynamics and peacebuilding approaches.

Excellent report writing and communication skills in English (Arabic is a strong asset).

Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, including under pressure.
