PURPOSE OF DIVISION: Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international relief and development charity that envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. We are an independent Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984. Working in 40 countries, we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. Islamic Relief provides support regardless of religion, ethnicity, or gender and without expecting anything in return.
Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has been working in Iraq for more than 20 years. IRW-Iraq was amongst the few aid agencies those were on the ground since 2003. Islamic Relief Worldwide Iraq is implementing several projects in the sector of livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Protection.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Roles and Responsibilities:
Generic responsibilities:
- Ensure that the country set up comply with IRW policies and donor requirements.
- Ensure anti-corruption/Fraud focus in procedures.
- Provide regular analysis and reports.
Specific responsibilities:
- Community engagement including sensitization, mobilization, formation of community committees and identification of beneficiaries and young university graduates through community committees by program guidelines and IRW standards. Work with community committees for local buy-in to ensure program is well understood and owned by the target communities.
- Assist FSL officer for singing MoUs with Universities.
- Support FSL Officer to carry out transparent beneficiary selection as per criteria in close coordination with other team members, local authorities, communities and humanitarian agencies working in the area.
- Support FSL officer in organizing the activities of project including target area selection, beneficiary selection, documentation, reporting etc.
- Support FSL officer in organizing training to Young University students and graduates.
- Keep a record of all required documents related to project, beneficiary selection, distribution and post-distribution monitoring.
- Participate and actively contribute to any assessments in the area
- Support FSL Officer to update beneficiary tracking sheet/ database after each distribution carried out.
- Support the collection of data for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of project activities, ensuring that the information is accurate.
- Assist FSL Officer with other tasks as assigned to support program implementation.

Key Accountability 1: Implementation of Food Security and Livelihood Activities · Conduct assessments, surveys, and community consultations to identify needs and vulnerabilities related to food security and livelihoods. · Support the implementation of project activities such as cash-based interventions, vocational training, and small-scale agriculture initiatives. · Monitor the quality of delivered inputs and services and ensure they align with project objectives.

2. Key Accountability 2: Beneficiary Engagement and Community Mobilization · Assist in identifying and selecting project beneficiaries based on set criteria. · Facilitate community meetings to inform stakeholders about project goals, timelines, and processes. · Address beneficiary concerns or complaints in a timely and respectful manner, escalating issues when necessary.

3. Key Accountability 4: Coordination and Networking · Participate in team meetings, field coordination groups, or clusters when required. · Represent the organization professionally during interactions with external partners and stakeholders.

Key Accountability 5: Compliance and Adherence to Standards · Ensure project activities align with Islamic Relief's principles, humanitarian standards, and donor requirements. · Adhere to the organization's safeguarding policies, including child protection and gender-based violence guidelines. · Maintain ethical practices in data collection, ensuring confidentiality and respect for beneficiaries.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree Or Diploma in Social Sciences, Development studies or related field
- EXPERIENCE
- 1 years’ experience in the field of food security and Livelihood working with INGOs/NGOs
- Additional training or certifications in Food Security, Livelihoods.
- Previous experience working in the same field is an advantage
- Professional Qualifications
- Extensive experience in working for NGO or INGOs on Development fields with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders.
- English-language and Kurdish proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Good writing and reporting skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power point)
- Strong background in managing MSME projects, focusing on capacity building and sustainable livelihoods.
