Description

PURPOSE OF DIVISION:

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international relief and development charity that envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. We are an independent Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984.  Working in 40 countries, we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. Islamic Relief provides  support regardless of religion, ethnicity, or gender and without expecting anything in return.Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has been working in Iraq for more than 20 years. IRW-Iraq was amongst the few aid agencies those were on the ground since 2003. Islamic Relief Worldwide Iraq is implementing several projects in the sector of livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Seasonal Projects.

 

 

Terms of Reference (TOR)

 

The Enumerator volunteer is expected to complete the following tasks and adhere to the required terms:

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the programme team in identifying and selecting rightsholders in accordance with IRW, Iraq’s criteria.
  • Assist the programme team in conducting field surveys and data collection activities during the contract period.
  • Support the MEAL team in carrying out Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), baseline, endline, and other field assessments as required.
  • Participate in coordination meetings, information sessions, and other related field activities as requested by the programme or MEAL teams.

Payment Terms

  • The enumerator volunteer will receive a payment of 45,000 IQD per day, inclusive of transportation and food allowance.
  • Payments will be made monthly, upon completion of the attendance sheet and verification by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data collection, preferably in conflict-sensitive contexts.
  • Bchlore degree
  • Proven experience in conducting, HH surveys, FGDs, and KIIs.
  • Previous experience in using digital data collection tool especially Kobo Toolbox.
  • Previous experience in supporting distribution activities and other field activities.
  • Strong understanding of local context and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Languages:

– Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic is an asset for reporting and coordination, English is recommended.

Skills:

  1. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, especially with children and educators.
  2. Experience in planning and supervising hygiene campaigns.
  • Understanding of community mobilization and hygiene behaviour change techniques.
  1. Ability to report clearly and manage data collection tools.
  2. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Contract Duration

  • Duration: Six months, from 28 December 2025 to 30 June 2026.
  • The enumerator will be engaged on a casual basis, only for specific days within this period based on IRW Iraq’s operational needs.
