Role of the Cleaner:
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment at the SEED STEPS Center, including cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc) Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. Carry out heavy cleaning tasks as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean STEPS Center in accordance with specific guidance provided by the supervisor.
- Provide a safe, welcoming environment for all SEED Center beneficiaries.
- Follow all health and safety regulations inline with SEED’s safety policy.
- Participate in all training instructed by the supervisor.
- Maintaining and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
- Keeping all public spaces neat and tidy.
- Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job.
- Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms.
- Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Performs other duties as necessary, as assigned by the supervisor.

- Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain schedule while responding to incidents.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of English or Kurdish and Arabic to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to gain trust and build relationships.
- Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
- Punctual, dependable, and able to manage time effectively to complete tasks.
