Description
Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the project "From Marginalization to Empowerment: Advancing the Role of Women and Youth in Halabja's Peace and Security." They will oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of all project activities to ensure they align with the project’s outcomes and partnership standards. The Project Coordinator will serve as the focal point for the project, managing the project team and ensuring smooth collaboration with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the implementation of all project activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
· Lead the development of policy briefs, organizing research, interviews, and stakeholder consultations.
· Coordinate and facilitate capacity-building workshops for female community leaders.
· Supervise the mentorship program, ensuring effective collaboration between mentors and mentees.
· Guide the implementation of community-led initiatives, supporting leaders and youth activists in executing activities that promote social cohesion and conflict resolution.
· Organize and lead roundtable discussions with key stakeholders to present policy brief findings and foster dialogue.
· Manage project reporting, including monthly progress reports, mid-term reviews, and final evaluations.
· Act as the primary liaison between the organization and stakeholders, including donors, local authorities, and community representatives.
· Monitor and evaluate project activities, providing regular updates and recommendations to enhance outcomes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, project management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in women’s empowerment, peacebuilding, or community development.
· Strong understanding of the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda and gender-sensitive programming.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
· Proficiency in English and Kurdish, Arabic is a plus.
· Experience working with diverse and marginalized communities.
