Description

The Program Officer (PO) will coordinate, monitor and support the Head of Program and MEAL  activities and relationships with partners and other project requirements to assist the achievement of the social cohesion/PVE objectives of the project in the target area. The PO’s project management skills, knowledge of coordination and communication, and understanding of the context in Ninawa, SAD, Anbar, Diyala. The PO will work closely with the program manager and staff as well as the MEAL team.

Responsibilities:

  • Following up project activities, supervising, coordination of projects and making sure project is according to work plan and timetable.
  • Maintain the working relationships with the partners including overseeing the development of a subcommittee of Prevention of Violence Extremism to deliver high quality workshops to beneficiaries and CSOs.
  • Insure all the project requirement and support document in place.
  • Gathering the target group and individual and conducting meetings
  • Preparing attendance papers, document, signatures and other project requirements.
  • Communication and keep touching the project stakeholders.
  • Preparing regular meetings and recording minutes of meeting.
  • Support the other tasks of management staff and support the field teams.
  • Reporting and following the work flow of the daily workers and data collectors.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications & Competencies

 

Essential

  • Iraqi National
  • Fluent Arabic and English
  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role of responsibilitywith NGO or INGO.
  • Proven skills in implementing skills and work team
  • excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strongly diplomatic and capable of dealing on difficult mediation and negotiations.
  • Solid programmatic, organizational planning and reporting skills.

 

Desirable

  • Bachelor Degree in, Engineering, Social Sciences or similar Humanities Degree.
  • Knowledge of ARD’s regulations and policies, and experience managing high-quality GCERF funded project(s).
  • good English language skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
