Logistics/Security Officer*
in Sinjar
The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration until 31.12.2025. Employment location will be Sinjar.Iraq. The position is paid according to SG6 (2,795,000IQD) as Gross Salary.

The aims of the job are to assist in providing Logistics and Security support and in ensuring the smooth functioning of the project/programme office.
Your responsibilities
- General Warehouse Management
- Management of warehouse support staff
- Stock management and compilation of stock reports
- Assets inventory management
- Support logistics in local market research for procurement of goods or services requested by programs as well as for office/guest house premises and equipment maintenance.
- Liaise with the logistics managers regarding procurement requests and requirements and consolidate them.
- Support procurement processes including requesting bids, preparing bids analyses, purchase orders, receiving reports and requests for payments.
- Verify the Supply Purchase Requests submitted to Logistics department for completeness regarding needful signatures, and the final authorization.
- Inspection of received goods or services compliance with ordered specifications and quality, including visits to programs activities sites for verifications and quality control of ordered/delivered goods and services.
- Identify vendors and participate in evaluation of them against performance, reliability, quality, price, delivery in respect of organizations’ best interests and donor mandates. Taking under consideration while conducting a bidding process, the value BEST VALUE for money, quality, compatibility, payment method, warranty, after sales services, and the company profile/ reputation.
- Supervision of cleaning staff
- Fleet management (movement plans and payment documents preparation for service drivers)
- Hiring process for Drivers and supervision
- Generator management (maintenance and fuel)
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Addressing electrical issues and overseeing the Energy Consumption
- Management of the guesthouse and accommodation for visitors
- Monitoring and resolving internet service issues for the office and guesthouse, including payment and follow-ups.
- Monthly inspection and replacement of the hibernation kit, followed by tracker updates.
- Overseeing office and guesthouse payments in collaboration with Finance.
- Monitoring office needs and procuring cleaning materials.
The SFP is responsible for managing and coordinating safety and security measures to ensure staff, assets, and operations are protected.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and identify potential threats.
- Update, and implement security management plan for Ninewa (SMP)
- Update Ninewa contingency plans and regular drills to keep the staff updated and familiarized with the plans.
- Advise staff on security risk levels and appropriate mitigation strategies.
5.Implement security policies and standard operation procedures (SOPs)
6.Ensure compliance with WHH safety regulations.
7.Act as the primary liaison with local authorities, security agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain communication with WHH country office including Security expert in Baghdad and security advisor in Duhok.
- Provide security training for staff (e.g., personal security, travel safety, and emergency response).
- Organize drills and simulations to test readiness and response.
11.Incidents management in Ninewa governorate. Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring proper documentation and reporting. Coordinate crisis response, including medical evacuations. Conduct post – incident reviews and lessons – learned sessions.
12.Approve travel plans and routes for staff in high-risk areas. Provide guidance on safe travel practices and oversee tracking system. Ensure drivers and vehicles meet security standards.
- University degree
- 2 to 5 years' professional experience working in similar position with relevant tasks and responsibilities
Foreign language skills
- Fluency in English ,Kurdish and Arabic (written and spoken),
