The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of a livelihoods-supporting farmers, agri-businesses, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with a strong focus on women and youth economic empowerment. The role involves managing a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing field implementation, ensuring alignment with UNDP’s guidelines, and delivering measurable results across both technical and administrative components.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery

Lead full-cycle project management: planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and close-out.

Develop detailed workplans, timelines, and activity schedules for effective implementation.

Ensure that all project activities (training, coaching, asset distribution, financial support) are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Lead on problem-solving and course correction where implementation deviates from plans.
Team Supervision & Capacity Building

Directly supervise project teams across all implementation sites.
-
Conduct regular team meetings, review progress, and provide technical and operational guidance.
-
Identify capacity gaps and facilitate on-the-job training and development for staff.

Lead performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Budget & Compliance Oversight

Manage project budget and ensure efficient, timely, and compliant spending.

Coordinate closely with finance and procurement teams to align with HRF regulations.

Monitor expenditures and lead monthly budget tracking and reporting.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

Work with M&E staff to track indicators, beneficiary data, and activity outcomes.

Ensure accurate and timely donor reporting, including success stories and lessons learned.

Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation and gather feedback from beneficiaries.
Additional Duties

Ensure project procurement, HR, and logistics are aligned with operational plans.

Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager to ensure project success.

Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience) in Business Administration, Agriculture Engineering, Agro-Food Processing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or other related fields.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, managing, and coordinating national-level development projects.

Proven experience in implementing projects related to skills development, agricultural support, and SME development.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams.

Solid knowledge of project cycle management, donor compliance, and results-based reporting.

Strong communication and coordination skills with experience engaging local authorities, communities, and partners.

Fluency in Arabic and English is required; Kurdish is an asset.
