
Context/Reporting line:
Under the general guidance of the Senior Programme Coordinator, the overall supervision of the Return and Reintegration Programme Officer, the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of the Information, Counselling, and Referral System Officer, and the in close coordination with the Information Management team, the successful candidate will work on profiling the beneficiaries, assessing their needs and referring them to the available services in Al-Amal Rehabilitation Center (Previously Jedaah 1).
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Support the registration and profiling of Northeast Syria returnees arriving at Al-Amal Rehabilitation Center (formerly Jeddah 1).
- Support regular and comprehensive needs assessments to identify and address the needs of residents at Al-Amal Rehabilitation Center.
- Support the collaboration with service providers within the center to strengthen the referral process and ensure timely and effective support for residents.
- Implement outreach initiatives to raise awareness about the rehabilitation and reintegration process, engaging residents and the wider community.
- Support facilitation of focus group discussions, roundtable dialogues, key informant interviews, and community dialogue sessions to promote understanding and support within the targeted communities.
- Support the data collection activities on services provided by humanitarian actors within the center and in areas of return.
- Conduct departure surveys for individuals approved by authorities to leave the center, to support programme planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date hardcopy and electronic records, particularly for monitoring, implementation, and coordination activities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Officer to support the effective implementation of the program.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, social science, Statistics from an accredited academic university or institution with 2 years of relevant professional experience, or
- Completed highschool degree with 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in working in camp settings.
- Experience in working with IDP, Returnees, and Host Communities.
- Experience in conducting interviews and other types of data collection.
- Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people including people of culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in working with young people (children and adolescents).
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Working knowledge of any other language is an advantage.
