Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. MSF France is looking for an IPC Supervisor in Erbil.
MAIN PURPOSE
Plan, organize, Implement and supervise, monitor and analyze the results of an infection control program in a project or health facility, according to MSF/MoH protocols, safety and IPC measures, in order to ensure quality of care and safety of patients, caretakers and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In coordination with the hospital management team and key pre-identified staff, conduct an ICP assessment across all departments and develops a gap analysis out of it.
- Conducts an IPC Learning Needs Assessment across all departments
- Develop, in coordination with the management team of the hospital, a learning program. Develop the training program content / tools
- Identify key staff inside the hospital to be involved in the development of the training program
- Conduct Training of Trainers if needed
- Deliver training (chronogram of training activities/follow-up of training activities), focusing on bed-side methodology
- Conducts a post-training/intervention assessment
- Develop in coordination with the hospital management team and key pre-identified staff a yearly calendar of training activities, for hospital management to follow, in order to maintain the behavior changes reached (sustainability of the program)
- Contribute with IPC related inputs in case a revision of Hospital Mass Casualty Plan will be performed.
- Promotes, checks and controls the rational use of IPC resources/equipment.
- Develop a list of IPC related needs to be provided by MSF to upgrade IPC standard within the facility.
- Contributes to weekly SitRep; compile an end of assignment report and provide written feedback upon request

Essential: health background (MD, nurse, midwives, …) Preferable: Certificate or Degree in IPC |

Experience |
Preferable: Previous working experience working with MSF or other NGOs Experience in IPC, OT, or Intensive Care Unit is an asset |
