About KOHRW

Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights through monitoring, advocacy, and community-based programs.

Position Summary

The HR and Administration Intern will support the HR and Admin department in daily operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in recruitment, staff records management, office administration, and internal coordination within a dynamic NGO environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Human Resources Support
  • Assist in recruitment processes (posting vacancies, screening CVs, scheduling interviews).
  • Support onboarding and induction processes for new staff.
  • Maintain and update employee records (both physical and digital).
  • Assist in tracking staff attendance, leave, and HR documentation.
  • Support preparation of HR-related reports and documents.
  1. Administrative Support
  • Assist in office management and daily administrative tasks.
  • Help maintain office filing systems and documentation.
  • Coordinate with different departments for administrative needs.
  • Support procurement and inventory tracking when needed.
  1. General Duties
  • Ensure confidentiality of HR and organizational information.
  • Provide general support to the HR and Admin team as required.
  • Participate in internal meetings and team activities.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree  in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Good command of English (Kurdish and/or Arabic is an advantage).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
