Project Summary: The project of “Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Rural Areas in Sulaymaniyah and Halabja Governorates” aims to empower women in Halabja and Sulaymaniyah Governorates by strengthening the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, supporting the creation of women-led micro-businesses through technical and financial assistance, and facilitating the growth of existing businesses with advanced support, mentorship, and improved access to markets and funding.
Job Summary: The Field Assistant will provide logistical and operational support for implementing project activities in targeted locations. They will assist in organizing events, collecting participant data, distributing materials, supporting mentoring sessions, and ensuring effective communication with women entrepreneurs and stakeholders at the grassroots level.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in mobilizing community members and beneficiaries for events and trainings.
· Support the logistical setup and coordination of workshops, meetings, and fairs.
· Distribute brochures, flyers, and multimedia content for awareness campaigns.
· Help document field activities through notes, photos, and attendance records.
· Follow up with beneficiaries for mentoring, training attendance, and loan disbursement stages.
· Provide support during peer-to-peer learning sessions and business monitoring visits.
· Maintain organized records of participants and support data entry into project databases.
· Accompany trainers, consultants, and field officers during site visits and events.
· Ensure safe and inclusive participation environments, especially for women and vulnerable groups.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Diploma in administration, social work, or a related field. (Bachelor’s degree is preferred)
· Minimum 2 years of experience in field support, logistics, or community assistance roles.
· Familiarity with rural areas of Halabja and Sulaymaniyah is an asset.
· Good organizational and logistical coordination abilities.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community groups.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
· Kurdish fluency (Arabic preferred); basic English is a plus.
· Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to work in a field-based environment.
· Ability to work under supervision and follow activity schedules.
