Job Description
The Community Mobilizer plays a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring project activities under the supervision of the Project Manager in collaboration with other team members. Key responsibilities include organizing and leading psychosocial and life skills activities in detention centers, mobilizing community members for awareness-raising and reintegration initiatives, and supporting case management identification. S/he coordinates logistics for events, monitors child protection committees, and ensures accurate data reporting and documentation. The role also involves managing administrative and procurement tasks, facilitating field assessments, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and progress monitoring.
Main responsibilities :
Project Implementation and Coordination
- Plan, prepare and implement relevant tasks and activities for Group Psychosocial and Life Skills activities in the detention centers.
- Assess children/youth interest and detention center’s restrictions and plan activities accordingly under the guidance of the project manager.
- Develop sessions and curricula in collaboration with the relevant technical team members, under the supervision of the project manager for the relevant activities.
- Plan, prepare and implement relevant tasks and activities for Awareness raising in the communities.
- Mobilize the relevant community members.
- Conduct dialogue with the communities in order for them to identify a strategy for the reintegration of children in contact with the law.
- Assist case management team in identifying children in need of A2J case management services, and in line with project demands and requirements, and under the guidance and supervision of his/her line manager.
- Organize and lead group event activities both inside and outside detention centers, including handling procurement requests, ensuring effective coordination, and overseeing successful implementation.
- Identify, establish, and train child protection committees, monitor their performance and activities within the communities, and provide comprehensive logistical and administrative support to ensure their effectiveness.
- Contribute to planning, implementing, and monitoring the A2J project in collaboration with the Project Manager and team members.
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination with all project stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Support the logistic organization of project workshops, CoP meetings, and training sessions in coordination with the project team.
- Coordinate activities in the dedicated detention and community centers and follow-up closely on the livelihood component activities.
- Facilitate and arrange events and visits related to the project.
Administrative and Logistical Support
- Handle administrative and logistical tasks related to the project.
- Work on preparing and following up the project procurement requests.
- Support in preparing and following up on the Project Procurement Plan and Project Follow-up Tool (PFU) and oversee the settlement of open advances.
- Ensure appropriate management and storage of project materials and equipment.
- Maintain good coordination with the support service team, and project team, grants officer and program team.
- Organize and maintain project records, including electronic and paper documentation.
Reporting and Documentation
- Contribute to organizing project reporting schedules and maintaining project documentation.
- Upload on daily, weekly and monthly basis accurate data to the databases while maintaining organized and valid sources of verification in designated folders as a hard and soft copies.
- Support the project manager in conducting field-based assessments, evaluations, and communication plan activities.
- Report on implementation progress, share lessons learned, and highlight challenges.
Other Responsibilities
- Carrying out any additional tasks assigned or delegated by the line manager/project manager.
- Report on the status of implementation and ensure challenges are effectively communicated.

· Knowledge on child protection, gender, and diversity. · Work experience in child protection prevention and response, and participatory child-friendly approaches. · Effective communication and engagement skills with children, young people, and families. · Behavioral management. |
