Project Summary: The project of “Community Engagement to Reduce Irregular Migration from Kurdistan Region of Iraq” aims to reduce the incidence of irregular migration from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to the UK and France by fostering informed decision-making and empowering local communities. The project addresses key information gaps by supporting youth to think critically about the risks and realities of irregular migration. It promotes trust in safe, legal, and locally available opportunities for employment and training, aiming to shift community perceptions toward credible alternatives. Additionally, the project strengthens the capacity and motivation of community leaders and influencers to drive effective, grassroots-level dialogue, reduce the social acceptability of smuggling, and disrupt the influence of smuggling networks.

Job Summary: The Logistics Officer will oversee the planning and execution of all logistical and procurement operations for the project. This includes coordinating transportation, venue arrangements, material distribution, equipment management, and procurement of goods and services. The Logistics Officer will ensure that all events, workshops, outreach sessions, and field visits are supported with timely and cost-effective logistical solutions in accordance with internal procedures and donor regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1- Provide administrative support to the Director of Operations and Finance,

2- Organize and maintain all necessary information and files of office in office database soft copy and hard copies,

3- Collect all attendance/timesheets of the staff,

4- Assist the Director of Operations and Finance in making necessary arrangements for the staff filed trips in terms of providing transportation and, if required, accommodation,

5- Coordinate between the employees for booking the meeting room of the office,

6- Help the HR team to organize and manage new employee orientation,

7- Follow up the daily work of the cleaner to keep the office clean,

8- Make reservations or appointments for the Organization’s guests,

9- Welcome Organization guests,

10- Submitting weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to the Director of Operations and Finance,

11- Responsible for supporting the team with printing and scanning;

12- Responsible for renewals of internet and phone bundles;

13- Responsible for electricity purchasing and control;

14- Perform any other task that might be requested by the Director of Operations and Finance.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications and Skills:

· Diploma or University degree in Administration, Human Resources, or related fields,

· At least 1 year of experience in administrative work,

· Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and time-management skills,

· Good written and verbal communication skills, mainly in Kurdish, Arabic, and English,

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and project management tools,

· High professional ethics and confidentiality standards in a diverse workplace,

· Conducting field trips and traveling to other cities/countries as per job requirements,

Flexibility with regard to long working hours or working on weekends if required
