Description

Salary range :2500 - 2700 depending on experience

working hour: 40h per week , Sunday till Thursday

For our PSD team, Cordaid Iraq seeks to hire a Project Leader based in Erbil with frequent travels to the field.

The PSD Project Leader will be responsible for the supervision of two projects; Agribusiness Acceleration Project (AAP) in Mosul and the Advanced Agriculture for Sustainable Growth Through Improved Potato Crop in Baghdad, Iraq. The AAP will come to an end in February 2022, and for this, Cordaid Iraq is looking for an experienced project leader that has a proven track record in closing GIZ projects. At the same time, the project leader will oversee and support the value chain project in Baghdad with market linkage activities.

The Project Leader will report directly to the Program Manager Private Sector Development based at Cordaid’s Country Office in Erbil.

Duties and responsibilities:

BDS support for existing and new projects

  • Supports PSD PM with the design of new PSD projects, including proposal writing.

  • Supports the other existing projects with BDS expertise

Project supervision

  • Manages Mosul Team, with frequent visits to Mosul

  • Organize weekly meetings with Baghdad and Mosul projects

  • Ensures timely implementation of projects activities

  • Prepares monthly report

  • Ensures timely closure of projects, including administrative support and final reporting

  • Ensures the representation of the project internally and is the spokesperson for the team

  • Monitors the project expenditures to make sure they are aligned with the donor budget and inform the Programme Manager about under- or over-consumption risks to enable adjustments to be made in a timely

Networking

  • Liaise with governmental actors to assure support for implementation
  • English , Kurdish and Arabic language is required

Reporting & other

  • Supervise PSD Mosul & Baghdad team in delivering the necessary information (data collection) for monitoring systems in place

  • Work closely with finance, operations and administration staff to ensure operational systems are in place to support relevant (field) activities including logistics, procurement, security and administration

  • Carry out other relevant tasks directed by the PSD Program Manager
