Job Description:
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager manages information and reporting processes and products to ensure professional, high-quality communication.
The MEAL Manager will assume responsibility for full-cycle monitoring and evaluation of KOHRW programs, developing appropriate methodologies and tools to design evaluations.
Job Duties:
- Develop, implement, and assess monitoring frameworks for all KOHRW partnerships and projects, as well as for funding proposals.
- Develop the overall framework for project M&E systems in collaboration with donor and senior project staff, including requirements, reporting, baseline, and evaluation surveys; develop and monitor project management plan to systematically document performance.
- Manage the performance of direct reports in the MEAL unit through performance
- management, coaching, mentoring, training and development
- Conduct field visits for data validation and to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets; coordinate data collection at project sites to monitor program development and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data; capture and document lessons learned; and champion the scaling up best practices.
- Support recruiting, interviewing, and training new M&E staff.
- Coordinate responses to requests for information.
- Responsible to ensure that KOHRW delivers on all internal M&E requirements in programmes in a timely manner and with high quality information.
- Any other tasks required by Supervisor or KOHRW head office.

Other professional skills required:
- Expertise in project cycle management, detailed knowledge of concepts, processes and tools, and experience in developing, planning and implementing systems
- University degree education and additional training in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams in the M&E field
- Knowledge of and experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods in the humanitarian aid/development sector. Experience in collecting and analysing data
- Experience in preparing, planning and monitoring consultations in the M&E field
- Awareness and knowledge of ethical issues related to M&E: do no harm and sensitivity to gender and diversity
- Excellent skills with mobiled data collection (ODK/KoBo tool box), database management,information management systems,statistical analysis and report writing.
