
CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières-Holland (MSF-H) is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.
MSF-H is currently recruiting for a Legal Translator.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Providing accurate, timely translation of documents such as job descriptions, policies, legal documents and administration documents as required.
- Providing grammatically correct, well-expressed final versions of the translated text, usually as word-processed documents; (English to Arabic and Arabic to English, Kurdish to English and English to Kurdish. Arabic to Kurdish and Kurdish to Arabic)
- Prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
- Protect the confidentiality of information and adheres to any related ethical or professional codes.
CONTRACT DETAILS
- Service Agreement.
- Intended start date: January 2023.
- The fee for one page is ten thousand (10,000) IQD.
- The legal translator does not need to work in the office to translate the legal document, it can be translated and send it by email.
- The service provider will be paid at the end of each month for any services provided for the month after presentation of an invoice with details of the tasks performed.
Education |
• Bachelor’s degree in language translation Arabic- English and vice versa. |
Experience |
• Experience in written and oral translations and performing administrative tasks. • Essential at least two years previous working experience with other NGOs. |
Languages |
• English: Native proficiency, Arabic: Native proficiency, Kurdish: Native proficiency |
Knowledge |
• Good computer skills (MS word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). • Able to organize and manage priorities. |
Legal Stamp
|
• The legal translator must have a legal stamp. |
