MAIN OBJECTIVE
Supporting the logistical, the procurement and administrative requirements of the project activities and related tasks.
Main RESPONSABILITIES
- Identify registered suppliers in the region of work.
- Process purchasing transactions for equipment, materials, supplies, capital goods, and services within purchasing authority and following the internal rules and regulations.
- Deliver materials to specific places of activities when needed and using the correct forms for delivery
- Manage AVSI cars and drivers through the setup of a weekly car plan.
- Assist in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased.
- Administer contract performance, including delivery, receipt, warranty, damages and insurance.
- Ensure correct filing and archiving for each purchasing transaction.
- Ensure timely and accurate stock records of AVSI field office stock.
- Ensure timely and accurate inventory records of all AVSI assets in the field office.
- Send a weekly report to logistics Officer on executed tasks and anticipated tasks for the week after.
- Willing and able to perform any other duties requested by the management within the area of competence.
REPORTING TO: Logistics Officer/Erbil
STUDIES REQUIREMENTS
First level university degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience at national or international level in the area of administration, procurement or logistics.
- Knowledge of working processes (purchase orders, preparation of contracts for services and goods, tendering, protocol etc.);
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of the geographical Area and the field.
- Good communication skills
- Capable of working under pressure in a multitasking position.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Good experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
