Janat Al Firdaws Foundation for Relief and Development (NGO) (JF), Founded in 2011 under the registration certificate issued by the Council of Ministers, Department of NGOs and numbered (1N74666) No. 105, dated May 10, 2011. The Foundation field of work is humanitarian and development, with history of Shelter and NFI distribution for IDP and returnees in Salaheddine (International al Organization for Migration IOM (2014-2019), Health and protection care provision for pregnant women, women in labor and newborn, UNHCR (2014), Rehabilitation and Support Program for Displaced Families in Baghdad Governorate and Salaheddine Governorate with the United Nations Children's Fund in 6 consecutive contracts (2015-2018), Care for marginalized groups of widows, orphans, and displaced persons through coordination with local donors (2011-2020).

 

Responsibilities & tasks:

Under direct supervision of Program Coordinator, and with direct coordination with ASB Health Program Manager, the incumbent is required to achieve the following tasks:

Carry out needs assessment and reviews in communities to determine development interventions that are required.

Coordinate the preparation of Health & Nutrition projects plans and budgets within the cluster.

Ensure availability of qualitative and quantitative Health & Nutrition data and information for input into JF & ASB reports.

Build capacity of volunteers, communities, Government partners and other partners in health & sexual reproductive health and female protection.

Participate in children and female mapping and monitoring processes in communities to ensure participation of children and families in health activities.

Ensure implementation of Audit and Risk Assessment recommendations in Health, Nutrition and protection projects and their impact.

Facilitate and report (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually) on Health & Nutrition activities, outputs and outcomes in the served communities.

Ensure representation of JF office at District and Regional events related to Health & Nutrition where JF is invited and report on them to the Program Coordinator.

Maintains contacts database and arranges meetings with external interlocutors.

Accompanies and supports the Head of Health Dept. in internal and external meetings and field visits.

Represents the Program Coordinator and Health Program Manager in external and internal meetings.

Monitors and reports on health-related issues relevant to the activities of the Health Project

Gathers and compiles health data and statistics and writes minutes of workshops and meetings

Knows, applies and complies with all the administrative procedures linked to his work (financial and HR such as appraisals, Time reporting, budget follow up, etc.).

Prepares adequate administrative and financial documentation necessary for implementation of assigned tasks for approval by the Program Coordinator.

Registers and treats information (general and specific) accurately and with confidentiality.

Translation of program-related documents.

Assisting staff members and beneficiaries on field.

Analyzing data outcomes.

Updating lists and tables on different platforms/software.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Full Time Working, No other engagements
  • University degree in Medical field or any related to medical
  • 2-5 years’ experience in public health sector or in INGO/NGO in health, and in implementing health programs/projects, coordination, and monitoring.
  • Good knowledge of Health legislations in Iraq, and in coordination and communication with line agencies, Governmental Health institution and NGOs/INGOs
  • Previous experience working in the district and Regions targeted by the project
  • Good computer skills (word, excel, power point),
  • Iraqi national FEMALE with excellent command of written and spoken Arabic & English (from Salaheddine).
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
  • Ability to work under stress and within tight deadlines.
