Responsibilities:

• Unloading trucks/vehicles and moving equipment.
• Assisting with fuelling.
• Assisting with water supply connections.
• Keeping the sector clean and tidy, removing rubbish.
• General painting.
• Assisting with minor building work.
• General cleaning of equipment.
• Undertaking minor domestic plumbing tasks; these may include cleaning water tanks, unblocking drains, replacing boilers, faulty fittings such as taps, water pumps or pipes.

General Responsibilities

• Working within MAG’s core values
• Acting as an ambassador for MAG
• Contributing to other fundraising initiatives where appropriate.
• Participating in meetings where appropriate.
• Work in accordance with MAG policies, including but not limited to, equal opportunities, code of conduct, and dignity at work policies.
• Appropriate training and development and their application.
• Perform any other duties that may be required.

Criteria for selection

Must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Understanding of NGOs and commitment to humanitarian work.
• Preferably have work experience in maintenance
• Able to work conscientiously either alone or within a team
• Flexible and adaptable
• Physically fit and in good health
