DAA Background:
Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA) is a national and non-governmental organization which envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty and illiteracy. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. We are a group of committed specialized graduates representing various intellectual backgrounds of our society. We have set up an independent non-governmental organization under the name of Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA).
Dijla is interested in development programs and are keen on the development of various sectors of local economy, husbandry and industry. Our activities and objectives include the setting up of modern and advanced model projects that will contribute positively to the local economy, tackling unemployment and to help the scientific research sector in the country.
Scope of Work:
Dijla seeks Enumerators to conduct data collection and site visit to implement beneficiaries’ verification. The enumerator is primarily responsible for collecting field data and site visit to do beneficiaries assessment on targeted areas of Al-Zubair, Shat Al-Arab, Abi Al-Khaseeb, Al-Madina, Al-Qurna and center of Basrah. She/ he has direct contact with households and have a great bearing on the quality of data collected and ultimately on the quality of data output.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct data collection of post distribution monitoring using the provided data collection tools through observation of the vulnerability and businesses on ground.
- Conduct household survey on registered households within the assigned areas.
- Interview the identified participants of the project within the project area to ensure the data and info that have been recorded within registered forms.
- Document all the findings in the provided data collection tools.
- Compiling and sorting the filled data collection tools as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure collected data is accurately recorded.
- Capture data using digital data entry technology provided.
- Ensure anonymity of respondents and develop relationship of trust and safe space during data collection exercise with respondents.
- Identify and report any challenges faced that could affect the quality of the data.
- Take responsibility for project equipment that you may be entrusted with.
- Report daily issues and challenges to the project officer.
- Any other duties assigned by the project officer.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Enumerator with INGOs & LNGOs.
- PC literacy and experience with KOBO and MS applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidence to undergo household visits.
- Teamwork skills.
