Description

Supervision and Management

The WEE Officer will oversee the intern, including providing induction, orientation, and training. The HR Team will be available also to assist with setting up the intern.

Resources

Oxfam GB- Iraq will provide a computer, a desk, an internet connection, and stationery in the office. Oxfam will pay 40,500 IQD a day to cover the cost of food, and transport to and from the office 500 IQD will be for health insurance purposes. Transport to attend meetings will be provided by Oxfam drivers when available.

No other remuneration will be offered.

Key Deliverables

The intern will provide operational support to the EFSVL team in the following areas:

  • Overseeing the Business Management Training program. This includes tracking training progress and attendance, engaging with participants, supporting trainers, coordinating with vendors for training resources, and ensuring the training meets quality and compliance standards.
  • responsible for assisting the team in conducting physical verifications and monitoring the use of cash by SME beneficiaries. This includes verifying the proper utilization of funds, ensuring compliance with the project's objectives, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of cash assistance programs.
  • Implementation of emergency food security, livelihood, and cash programming activities within the project timeframe and quality standards, with a special focus on Business Management Training, Supporting beneficiaries with developing business plans, business plan evaluation, physical verification of beneficiaries, and daily Monitoring of the vocational training.
  • Participate in field-level assessments including, but not limited to, need assessment, HH vulnerability assessment, and other types of assessment as assigned by the team leader.
  • Ensure proper community engagement and clear communication with the community.
  • Maintain the records of all the activities under EFSVL and Cash Programs: Master Beneficiary List, Actual Beneficiary Distribution Lists, business plans, Community Meeting Minutes, attendance sheets, pre & post-tests, and other related documentation of the project activities.
  • Work closely with MEAL staff, conduct monitoring of all activities post-distribution, and collate information to share with other staff.
  • Provide general support to the field team.
  • Any other business required by the management.

 

 

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • Diploma in economics, civil engineering, Agriculture-Livestock engineering, business management, development studies, or equivalent to that.
  • Language: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, Good written and spoken English.
  • Competence in basic Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
