
Position overview: The Community Mobilizer is responsible to motivate and mobilize the communities/ beneficiaries. Working as part of the team in the area, the position requires the ability to work constructively with a wide variety of people in Talafer Area
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Implementation
The Community Mobilizer will be expected to perform the following duties, in collaboration with other AGO’s staff:
- To assist community members to identify needs and to generate solutions, identify priority issues and to analyse their problems.
- To keep the community informed and updated about the projects and disseminate information accordingly.
- Engage in project monitoring activities as relevant.
- Engage in data collection, surveys, and assessments during the project period.
- Build strong relationships with the local authority and the directorates that we will be directly in touch with them.
- Engage in the beneficiary's selection process and follow up with them regard the activities of the project.
- To assist the field coordinator in facilitating the transportation for the trainees from the district to the workshop venue.
- Follow up and supervise the daily attendance of the trainees, and check the timesheets with the trainers.
- To assist the field coordinator and the finance team in the delivery of wage payments and collect the requested signatures and information for that.
- Respond and adjust to logistical constraints related to public space management, or social dynamics involving the community and its expectations.
- To assist in facilitating the required sessions of first aid and health awareness for all the included beneficiaries.
- Arrange and preparation prepare for the field visits or activities regarding coordination and logistics.
- Support in providing legal support for the BNFs in all steps of providing the service.
- Ensure the implementation of agreed plans at the field level to achieve quality results on time.
Any other task relevant to the position as requested by the line manager.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
• Experience working in a humanitarian/recovery context.
• Strong communication skill
• Previous experience working in vocational, skill training.
• Documented results related to previous responsibilities
• Knowledge of Arabic, and are local language, English required
• Computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook and ExcelProven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work diligently both independently and in a team setting
