Job Description
Tdh is looking for a Communications Intern to support the organization’s communications efforts. This role is crucial in enhancing the visibility of our work in the country and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, donors, and partners.
As a Communications Intern, you will assist in supporting and enhancing our communication strategy through content creation, social media management, and more, helping to raise the profile of our organization's mission and impact.
Main Tasks:
- Develop and edit high-quality content, such as success stories, project updates, and context.
- Provide content for social media platforms, such as photos, captions, and updates from field activities.
- Track social media engagement and suggest ways to enhance visibility.
- Assist in creating posters, banners, and one-pagers.
- Support translation of communication materials when needed from English to Arabic (and Kurdish) and vice versa.
- Work closely with the field team.
- Maintain a photo/video database.
- Any other tasks required by the line manager.
A must:
- Strong writing and storytelling abilities in English; proficiency in Arabic and/or Kurdish is a plus.
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram & LinkedIn).
- Rigorous, detail-oriented, creative
- Willingness to collaborate with teams across departments and levels.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork skills, positive minded, dynamic, and proactive
Requirements
- A degree in Public Relations, communication, advertisement, Business Administration and Management, or equivalent is preferred
- Fluency in English and Arabic, Kurdish is a plus.
Previous experience in the communications sector, could be a plus.
