Description

CFS Assistant Najaf . The Information Desk Assistant will be in a position to assist all PoCs on arrival at the CSC during working hours through the information desk. The staff at the information desk will be trained and duly aware and knowledgeable on the services to be provided through the CSC and in a position to do the triage. The Information Desk Assistant will have information readily available for participant needs in brochures, handouts, and posters. The Information Desk Assistant will be connected to the field teams, staff at the CSC and case managers to enable immediate response to persons at immediate risk of harm. The CFS Assistant will be in charge of organising recreational activities for children such as sports, arts and cultural activities. Ideally the CFS Assistant(s) will be coming from the community.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
  • 5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience of which a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in humanitarian and relief operations;
  • Diplomacy and assertiveness; the ability to respectfully and carefully confront and discuss sensitive issues with a wide range of actors, groups, and individuals.
  • Sensitivity to and respect for a range of cultural beliefs.
  • Basic knowledge of information management systems and commitment to using computer technologies for information sharing and work processes
  • Proven ability to operate in a team environment liaising with a diverse team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience of using own initiative and problem-solving attitude
