We are looking for an experienced Bulletin Researcher to plan, coordinate, review, and edit content for our organization’s bulletin board.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented with excellent writing and editing skills with lens of gender perspective and feminist aspects. The role includes communication with the writers and other contributors, so excellent communication skills and the capacity to provide objective and constructive feedback are a must.
The ability to oversee the publication layout for a topics bulletin and meet deadlines is crucial to succeed in this role. Female Candidates with prior experience in report writing will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
- Review, proofread, and edit content for the bulletin
- Report and publish news events across all digital platforms
- Set publication standards
- Source, research, and verify stories on events before publishing
- Define strategies to promote online presence for the bulletin
- Liaise with writers, artists, and designers
- Develop cohesive content goals with the staff.
- Oversee bulletin deliverables by finalizing pitches for news stories
- Maintain editorial standards by reviewing author contributions
- any additional duties that is required from the supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related fields
- Fluent in Kurdish and English, both written and spoken Arabic is a plus.
- at least 2-3 years of experience in the field and NGOs.
- Minimum 1 year experience in report writing
- Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading
- Experience working with desktop publishing programs (Microsoft Publisher, Adobe In-Design, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
