Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA) is an independent non-governmental organization based in Mosul, Iraq. Established in 2012, DAA focuses on enhancing agricultural and economic development through the adoption of modern technologies and practices, while placing sustainable livelihoods and social cohesion at the core of its interventions. The association actively coordinates with government agricultural departments, local authorities, DOLSA to design and implement advanced model projects in various project sectors including small and medium enterprise (SME) development, and vocational training.
DAA's mission centers on revitalizing the agricultural and economic sectors, strengthening sustainable livelihood opportunities for vulnerable populations, and fostering social cohesion between diverse community groups, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and host communities.
Project Background
The Livelihood and Social Cohesion Project implemented by Dijla Agricultural Association (DAA) in partnership with ASB, funded by BMZ in Nineveh Governorate, Iraq. The project aims to support economic development by promoting vocational training, the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the strengthening of community development committees for enhanced social engagement. Through the project, improved livelihood participation and better social networking will be established within different community groups. The project targets Mosul different Neighborhoods and city of Hamdaniya which recorded as areas of required specified intervention.
Job Function/ Description:
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the implementation of field-based project activities.
• Manage daily field operations and ensure activities are delivered according to project work plans and timelines.
• Facilitate the coordination with project beneficiaries (SMEs and Interns) in aspect of livelihood and social engagement.
• Coordinate with Local Authorities, DOLSA, livelihood Specialized institutions, and Community leaders.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Procurement team, and other project staff to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.
• Supervise trainers, trainees, facilitators, Project Officer and community Mobilizers for improved field intervention as assigned.
• Coordinate training sessions, workshops, awareness campaigns, and other field activities.
• Support logistical arrangements required for project implementation, including venues, materials, and participant coordination.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor activity implementation, participant progress, and project quality.
• Collect, verify, and maintain accurate project data, beneficiary records, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare field reports and contribute to project progress reports.
• Identify implementation challenges and recommend practical solutions to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, safeguarding principles, and project procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Development Studies, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in field coordination or project implementation within humanitarian or development programs.
• At least 3-4 years of experience in field of livelihood and economic generation projects.
• Experience coordinating with government entities, local authorities, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise field teams and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently to project locations.
