تقوم اخوية المحبة الانسانية في العراق، بالشراكة مع خدمات الإغاثة الكاثوليكية (CRS)، بتنفيذ مشروع المستقبل المشترك الممول الوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية لمدة 7.25 سنة . حاليا هو في السنة السادسة من التنفيذ ، تسعى اخوية المحبة الانسانية و CRS إلى بناء التفاهم المتبادل والتسامح والثقة بين الجماعات الدينية والعرقية في سبع مواقع للمشروع في سهل نينوى: برطلة ، بعشيقة ، نمرود ، قرقوش ، تلكيف ، تللسقف و وانة.

Job Title: Social Cohesion Senior Project Officer

Job Summary:
Caritas Iraq, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), is implementing the 7.25-year USAID Shared Future Project. Currently in year 6 of implementation, Caritas and CRS seek to build mutual understanding, tolerance, and trust among religious and ethnic groups in seven project locations in the Ninewa Plains: Bartella, Bashiqa, Nimrod, Qaraqosh, Telkeif, Telskof, and Wanna.The Caritas Social Cohesion Senior Project Officer (SPO) will support the Social Cohesion and PYD Project Manager and the Social Cohesion and PYD Program Manager to manage, coordinate, and monitor activities for youth, religious and community leaders across Project locations, in 7.25-year USAID project that is currently in year six of implementation.
- As a lead for the project team in Ninawa for Shared Spaces, the SPO will facilitate the achievement of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project activities and providing technical guidance and advice to staff and implementing partner(s) advancing Caritas work serving the poor and vulnerable.
- The SPO will serve as the main liaison to youth, religious and community leaders and other key stakeholders in the project locations to promote the project, ensure acceptance from the community, and facilitate smooth implementation.
- The SPO will also work closely with other project consortium members to foster synergy across project objectives.
- The SPO should be skillful in coordination, private sector engagement, governance, relationship management, and have knowledge of the program area to ensure that the project applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits.
- The Project duration will be 11 months with the possibility of renewal and the position will be based in Qaraqosh.

- خبرة جيدة في التعامل مع القطاع الخاص والحوكمة وإدارة العلاقات.
- خبرة جيدة في استخدام حزم MS Windows و MS Office ( (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams و Zoom.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, community leaders, youth groups, and other stakeholders to foster social cohesion in the shared space initiatives.
- Serve as the liaison between the project team and local actors to mobilize community involvement and promote project activities.
- Organize and lead the execution of project activities related to Identifying, creating and maintaining shared spaces for different community groups, ensuring they align with project goals and donor requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and dialogues on social cohesion, conflict resolution, and community integration within shared spaces.
- Support with reviewing, editing and translation of Social Cohesion curricula and resources, standard operating procedures, and other project documents, as needed.
- Oversee data collection and analysis to measure the impact of shared space initiatives against project indicators.
- Prepare regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes, and ensure timely submission to donors and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with established procedures and standards.
- Support project staff, including Project Officers and Community Mobilizers, ensuring effective teamwork and performance.
- Ensure project activities related to shared spaces adhere to quality standards, donor requirements, and best practices, including regular site inspections.
- In coordination with the Project Manager, provide technical guidance related to the shared spaces interventions, governance, private sector engagement to other staff members when needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning through reflective practices and feedback loops and analyze challenges to improve project outcomes.
- Identify capacity-building needs and provide training and technical support to project staff and community stakeholders.
- Oversee the allocation and effective use of resources for shared space initiatives, including budget management and addressing logistical challenges.
- Promote social cohesion and address conflicts by facilitating activities that encourage interaction a mutual understanding among diverse community groups, while monitoring and responding to changes in the social and political context.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. 4 years of related work experience required in an NGO; experience working with youth, Religious and community leaders preferred.
- Experience facilitating training or workshops on complex topics (ex: protection, inter- ethnic/inter-faith dialogue) strongly preferred.
- Experience in private sector engagement, governance, relationship management.
- Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams) and Zoom required.
- Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data.
- Strong spoken and written English and Arabic required. Knowledge of (Assyrian, Chaldean, Syriac), Shabak, Turkmen, Kurdish or another local dialect is a plus.
- The applicant must not be enrolled in the governmental sector.

Additional Notes:
Travel Required:
