Job Summary: The Reproductive Health (RH) Doctor provides primary healthcare services to beneficiaries of reproductive health services and works as part of the medical team at the health center. The doctor conducts routine examinations during and after pregnancy, diagnoses and treats medical conditions, and follows up on treatment. Critical childbirth cases are referred to the hospital. The doctor provides services to both the local community and displaced populations in Lebanon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide healthcare to beneficiaries of primary healthcare services following the Ministry of Health's strategy.
- Refer critical childbirth cases to the nearest hospital.
- Conduct regular medical examinations for pregnant patients during and after pregnancy and childbirth, in accordance with the health program policies and procedures.
- Provide counseling on family planning to support the family planning policy.
- Treat and follow up with patients to monitor the effectiveness of the provided treatment.
- Prepare and provide medical reports for beneficiaries.
- Contribute to raising community awareness about health issues and the use of protective measures.
- Train and provide guidance to nursing staff to promote medical awareness and the use of protective procedures.
- Behave professionally and personally in a way that upholds the credibility of IHAO and does not endanger its humanitarian mission.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine is required.
- At least two (2) years of work experience as a doctor in the field of reproductive health or a similar field is required.
- Good knowledge of national health programs and the government health structure is required.
- Excellent leadership skills are required.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
- Previous experience working with an NGO or international organization is an advantage.
