Role of the IT Officer:
SEED is seeking a qualified and motivated IT Officer to provide technical support and ensure the effective operation of IT systems across all SEED locations. The IT Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT helpdesk requests, installing and configuring hardware and software, maintaining and securing networks and devices, and supporting organizational systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing timely IT support and troubleshooting for staff.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems.
- Administering and securing IT systems and networks, including Mikrotik, Unifi, and FortiGate.
- Managing CCTV and biometric attendance systems.
- Supporting Google Workspace accounts and user access.
- Maintaining IT documentation, trackers, and asset records.
- Delivering staff training on IT systems and best practices.
- Traveling to SEED locations when required to provide support and training.
This position plays an essential role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of SEED’s IT infrastructure.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience in hardware/software troubleshooting, network setup and maintenance, CCTV, ERP systems, and client support.
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, NAS devices, and current IT trends.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support diverse teams.
- High integrity, positive attitude, teamwork, and motivation.
