Description

I. Introduction

ZOA Iraq supports vulnerable conflict-affected people with social reconstruction activities, livelihood assistance and psychosocial support in order to establish stable and peaceful communities with hope for the future.

II. Purpose of the position

The Finance Reporting officer is responsible for carrying out all cash transactions and reporting within a programme area.
 

III. Main activities

Tasks responsibilities, results

  • Assist and Ensure ZOA’s financial administration procedures are properly implemented according to rules and regulations for compliance
  • Prepare and make day-to-day payments on time
  • 75% field/main office travelling and maintaining sub-office and main office cash books (if required)  
  • Cash management:
    • Weekly cash count and reconciliation of cash and advance payment
    • Participate in Cash distribution activity during the absence of Hawala.
    • Prepare monthly cash control sheets
    • Sign off the cash control sheet and reconciliation with the Programme Manager
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded daily basis in the cash sheet and accounting software ERP for the Support office and the Main office.
  • Filing documents of all financial transactions in an orderly and standardized way
  • Ensure proper accounting for work advances and other advances
  • Ensure the availability of enough money in the programme area by maintaining an adequate cash flow sheet
  • Documentation and filling Hardcopies and uploading the documents to ZOA Manager and ERP.
  • Facilitate financial documents for all kinds of ZOA and donor audits and financial Report submission
  • Assist Finance Manager in preparation of Donor Budgets, uploading budgets to ERP, monitoring budget vs actuals and coordinating with the project team,
  • Preparing Donor Financial reports according to donor requirements and coordinating with donor audit
  • Monthly vehicle reallocation calculation
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor on requirement based on the need

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

I. Competencies

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven working experience of 3-4 years in the finance field and other fields are added advantages on top of finance experience
  • Minimum education: Degree in accounting or finance professional studies.
  • Affinity with development work and International NGOs.
  • Fluent in Arabic in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Good knowledge of English, Kurdish, and Arabic in reading, writing and speaking
  • Previous experience in Excellent knowledge of computerized accounting systems(ERP),
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft functions Excel, Word, Power point, access (VLOOKUP, If functions, Pivot. Power BI)

VI Special requirements to comply

  • Good knowledge of English, Kurdish, and Arabic in reading writing, and speaking
  • Up to 75% may be required for travel in the country and willingness to work in Site/Main offices in different locations
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft functions Excel, Word, Power point, access (VLOOKUP, If functions, Pivot. Power BI)
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor on requirement based on the need
