
Job Summary
The Finance Assistant, based in Snuni, will assist the Finance Officer in finance-related tasks including filing, scanning, data entry, and cash distribution. Prefer an accounting background with cash handling, payroll, and coding experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily ledger posting schedules and the accuracy of all transactions in an organized, timely and professional manner.
- Review and ensure accuracy of financial transactions for SP field operations based in the region as appropriate (includes vouchers, FERs, Cash Advances, transfers, etc.)
- Ensure coding is assigned correctly and upload petty cash transactions to Field Connect for Finance Manager posting.
- Process and collect payments in cash and reconcile daily.
- Maintain accuracy of all daily cash transactions and financial documents with proper reviews before disbursing.
- Assist in scanning all finance documents, contracts, agreements and payroll documents in a timely manner.
- Cash count physically with reconciling all balances in the ledger on a daily basis against paid payments.
- Participate in weekly/monthly cash count and Surprise Cash Count.
- Assist Finance Officer with preparing payroll and disbursing in a timely manner.
- Assist in the programs cash distributions alternatively with the Finance Officer to ensure the finance office remains open and operating during the cash hours.
- Organize all Finance documents into Boxes, storage them and arrange sending them to SP Iraq.
- Regular travel to field locations, including to distribution sites and the community center in Sinjar City will be expected.
- Any other duties as assigned, this include but not limited to tasks that are assigned by the Base Manager, Finance Officer, Deputy Finance Manager, or Finance Manager.
- Ensure that staff understand the payment and advance procedures, timing, templates and provide all required documentation.

Education / Experience Needed
Diploma in Finance, or similar, and one to two years of experience in Finance
LANGUAGE
English, Kurdish, and Arabic are Required.
