Role Outline
WRO is seeking a creative and dynamic Communication and Media Intern to join our team in Erbil, IKR, Iraq. The Communication and Media Intern will be responsible for developing and implementing Communication and Media Materials, and promoting the Organization’s mission and activities through various communication channels in adherence with WROs code of conduct, data privacy, protection, and comms standards of care SoPs, etc.
Key Responsibility:
- Digital Marketing:
- Manage the Organization Website Content Management, and social media platforms
- Prepare and Manage the Organization Digital Awareness raisings and Campaigns
- Prepare Quarter News Report highlighting the Organization Quarter achievements.
- Increase visibility and engagement with target audiences.
- Content Creation and Design:
- Create compelling content for various channels and awareness, including Posters, Brochures, digital posts, promotional materials while ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational messaging, objectives, and branding.
- Conduct interviews and write human stories.
- Prepare Promotional Events
- Graphic Design:
- Design visually appealing and impactful graphics, infographics, and multimedia materials to support communication campaigns, Organization Quarters and annual reports and enhance audience engagement and comprehension.
- Capacity Building:
- Provide training and support to staff and partners on communication best practices, media relations, storytelling techniques, and digital communication tools to enhance their communication skills and promote organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education and Experience : BA in Communication or 3 years of Professional Experiences of relevant domain.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in graphic design, digital marketing, and photography.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in conducting training and capacity-building activities.
- Creative self-starter-able to take and implement initiatives independently
- Familiarity with non-profit agency works
- Have flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
