Aim of the position:
The objective of this activity assignment is to provide high-quality, ethical, and culturally sensitive psychological support services to vulnerable women through structured group sessions and individualized case management for high-risk beneficiaries.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
The assignment is deliverable-based, and expected timeline for deliverables is 2 months. Payments linked to the completion of the following:
4.1 Deliverable 1: Group Sessions
- Develop structures session plans for group sessions
- Conduct 8 psychosocial sessions (each session lasting one hour and 30 minutes) for 2 groups of 8 participants
- Submit a short final report to the protection team after each session.
4.2 Deliverable 2: Individual Sessions
- Develop structures session plans for individual sessions
- Conduct 8 psychosocial individual sessions (each session lasting one hour and 30 minutes) for women.
- Submit a short final report to the protection team after each session.
Reporting to: Project Coordinator.
Language: Arabic and Kurdish Badini.
Duty Station: Sharya – Khanke (Duhok Governorate).
Essential requirements:
- Female psychologist (requirement based on beneficiary sensitivity and cultural context).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in psychosocial support, preferably in humanitarian or protection settings.
- Proven experience working with GBV survivors and highly vulnerable women.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience with NGOs/INGOs or UN agencies.
- Knowledge of local context and cultural sensitivities.
- Experience in group facilitation.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and informed consent.
- Respect for do no harm principles.
- Immediate referral of cases requiring specialized or clinical intervention beyond scope.
- Compliance with safeguarding and protection policies.

- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism.
- Ability to work with highly vulnerable populations under stress.
- Ethical practice aligned with psychological standards.
