The Vehicle(s) will be based in the Duhok office. The main responsibility is transporting the Vibrio-Cholera samples from PHCCs inside the camp to the Central Laboratory In Duhok. He will sometimes be accompanied by Health or WASH staff to supervise the transportation process of the samples. |

Background and purpose of assignment
|
CARE Iraq and through the Prolok project supporting the Cholera preparedness in IDPs and Refuges camps in Duhok city. The project activities support the Duhok Director of Health in Cholera response and preparedness. The health team intends to hire a driver from Duhok city to transport the Vibrio -Cholera samples from PHCCs in the supported camps to the central Laboratory in Duhok city. He will sometimes be accompanied by Health or WASH staff to supervise the transportation process of the samples. |

Expected Activities
|
Ø Facilitate transportation of Vibrio -Cholera samples from PHCCs in the supported camps to the central laboratory in Duhok city Ø Transportation of program staff to the supported camps from the Duhok office and vice-versa and between the mentioned camps if needed. Ø Ensure the safety of staff and materials during the driving. Ø Ensure the maintenance and cleaning of the Vehicle. Ø Follow the Driving Vehicle Traffic Authority rules while driving. Ø Support the team during loading and unloading materials if needed and ensure their condition while in the Vehicle. Ø Obeying speed limits and not driving aggressively improves safety by reducing the probability and severity of crashes. Ø Drivers must ensure passengers follow CARE rules (Wearing masks, putting on seat belts), etc. Ø Driver to ensure Vehicle and tires are checked regularly and in good condition. Ø The driver should follow and make sure passengers follow transportation risk policies. Ø The driver is responsible for filling the logbook, signing at the end of each trip, and submitting his log sheet to the risk officer at the end of each month.

Payment Terms |
$60 a day rate will be paid at the end of the month as per the filled working day logbook and attendance sheet. |

- Must own the vehicle.
- You will responsible for vehicle maintenance and fuel cost.
- Type of vehicle, pickup (age of vehicle must be ≤ 5 years).
- A preferable resident of Duhok or Summel district.
- Having a valid driving license.
- Literate (able to manage the logbook & read traffic signs).
