GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE (BRIEF): THE FINANCE OFFICER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING AND MANAGING FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES IN CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS FOR OUR INGO. THIS ROLE IS ESSENTIAL FOR ENSURING ACCURATE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, COMPLIANCE, AND EFFICIENT FINANCIAL OPERATIONS.
Main Responsibilities: Budget Oversight: · Collaborate with program managers to develop and manage project budgets. · Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports on budget vs. actual expenditures. Financial Reporting: · Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and donors. · Ensure compliance with donor financial reporting requirements. Grants and Contracts Management: · Manage the financial aspects of grants and contracts, including proposal budgets, grant compliance, and financial reporting. · Coordinate with program teams to monitor grant spending and adherence to grant terms.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE IN FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, OR A RELATED FIELD. |
Required Skills & Abilities · STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF FINANCIAL PLANNING, BUDGETING, AND GRANT MANAGEMENT. · PROFICIENCY IN FINANCIAL SOFTWARE, ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS, AND MICROSOFT EXCEL. · STRONG ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS, WITH THE ABILITY TO ADAPT TO WORK CONDITIONS. · ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND A HIGH LEVEL OF ACCURACY IN FINANCIAL TASKS. · EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, INCLUDING CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION . KNOWLEDGE OF DONOR REGULATIONS AND COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS. |
