Sherzad Ismail Hussein Company (S.I.H Company) is a local transportation company specializing in Renting services and selling/Purchasing vehicles, Sherzad Company was founded in 1998. The company has experience renting vehicles for more than 25 years in Federal Iraq and the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Providing transportation services to local citizens, local and international organizations, and companies with high-standard quality is the purpose of the establishment. Sherzad Company has built a good reputation in rendering the service.
Sherzad Company has several branches throughout Iraq and the Dubai - United Arab Emirates office recently became the headquarters office of the company. The company provides vehicle renting services in all locations in 15 cities in Iraq.
PURPOSE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
S.I.H is planning to hire seven (7) potential Drivers with their Vehicles, including Fuel and maintenance. The activity will be based in Erbil with frequent trips around the city. The Driver will be reporting to the Company Fleet Officer.
Sherzad Company will require a Vehicle not older than 2021 White color, the requested Vehicle types are:
1- Sedan: Toyota Corolla or Equivalent
2- SUV (5 seats): Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Cross, Hyundai Tecson, or Equivalent
3- SUV (7 seats 4X4): any Kia SUV, Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai SUV, Ford Exploerer.
4- Pickup: Toyota Hilux or Mitsubishi L200
DRIVER EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid PUBLIC driving license and a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of working experience as a Driver for NGOs, International companies, or as a public employee;
- The interested candidate should be an Iraqi from the region.
- Knowledge of Mechanics is an asset;
- Spoken Basic English and Arabic is an asset.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, committed,
- Familiar with defensive driving techniques and project area is desirable;
- Good knowledge of country roads and the work location
- The applicant must submit a clear CV (maximum 2 pages)
- A copy of the driver's license and national ID
- A copy of his Vehicle registration
- The driver will work 8 hours per day (including an hour break), 5 days a week.
- Sherzad Company's working hours are 08:00 - 05:00 PM from Sunday to Thursday.
- Checking the vehicle before its use daily (the driver should use the Sherzad Company checklist and tick the boxes before every departure)
- Observe the Company's Standard operation for departures and arrivals.
- Ensure no unauthorized person drives the official vehicle on duty.
- Keep your vehicle clean inside and out. After a journey, remove all the rubbish and keep it tidy.
- Maintain a logbook of trip use, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- When the vehicle is not in use, keep the keys and documents secure.
- Before driving, ensure that all passengers are wearing safety belts.
- Ensure that all vehicle journeys are authorized ahead of time.
- Maintaining a car logbook that records all vehicle movements (date, time, kilometers);
- Submit all fuel invoices and payment vouchers;
- Immediately report any accident or security incident/risk to the supervisor. Complete accident and incident reports accurately and on time.
- Check daily before departure that the vehicle is roadworthy and provided with the required vehicle packs (breakdown and recovery kit, fire extinguishers, and first-aid kit) according to the Vehicle Checklist.
- Facilitate smooth transit across barriers or checkpoints, and liaise with governmental officers, security officers, and military representatives.
- Work after duty hours or holidays as and when required and with prior notice from the line manager.
- It may also be necessary to perform other duties related to the position as directed by the manager.
