JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Grants and Reporting Officer, based in Erbil, is the focal point for compiling internal reports, and external donor reports, managing program information in coordination with other departments, as well as a range of regular and ad hoc reports and communication tools used for both internal and external dissemination of information. He / She will support the program team by coordinating new program development initiatives, and revisions and modifications of existing programs. The Senior Grants and Reporting Officer needs to stay abreast of local context and situational developments, obtaining information from both internal and external sources to contextualize the work of the International Medical Corps.


MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Reporting:
•Coordinate the preparation of timely high-quality program reports in compliance with donor guidelines and IMC standards;
•Support in the review and finalization of all required supporting documents ensuring they are in in order and reviewed by respective Program Coordinators;
•Ensure tools and processes are adequate and in place for the purpose of collecting relevant quantitative and qualitative information required for reporting to a range of stakeholders;
•Provide editing and quality assurance of all internal and external reports for review by the Management prior to dissemination;
•Take meeting minutes and summarize action plans, before validation by the line manager
•Work closely with relevant departments/Programs to improve information management processes.
•Maintain program filing system and donor reporting schedule and share with relevant staff on a timely basis.
•Support the development of communication tools (for internal and external use), including maps, case studies, and infographics.

Program Development:
•Coordinate the development and drafting of high-quality concept notes, proposals and supporting documents, and modification requests, in tandem with the Program Coordinators and technical program staff, in accordance with IMC's internal requirements and donor guidelines;
•Lead in collating information for proposal development, donor information requests, and coordinating inputs from relevant programs and operations staff.


Internal/External Coordination:
•Support information flow from the field, regionally, and with headquarters.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


The minimum qualifications for a Senior Grants and Reporting Officer typically include:


Educational Background:
University Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Development and/or in a relevant field of study.


Experience:
•Experience in managing donor relations and reporting
•Working with an international humanitarian organization
•Proven experience writing proposals, reports, and managing information related to large-scale emergency response projects funded by institutional donors
•Strong understanding of the regional crisis
•Insight into health services, protection and mental health, and psychosocial support is preferred, but not required.


Knowledge and Skills:-Senior Grants and Reporting OfficerJD-Senior Grants and Reporting Officer:

• Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Must be able to analyze and interpret data and track performance against program indicators
• Must have the ability to work effectively with various personalities and ability to work in a multicultural environment.


Communication Skills:
•Flexibility to work extended hours, under pressure, meet strict deadlines, work with limited resources, and work under dynamic security environments.
•Strong communication skills, and ability to lead and coordinate processes across a number of departments/programs.
•Flexible, and able to cope with stressful situations and frustration.
•Competent in MS Excel, word processing, PowerPoint, and tools useful in information management and program reporting such as mapping
•Strong written and verbal English.
