Background:
Sahara Economic Development Organization (SEDO) is Iraqi National NGO, it's established in November 2007 as an independent NGO with its main office in Tikrit city. It focuses on developing the economic sector by providing business management training courses and counseling services to entrepreneurs and potential investors to enable them to efficiently contribute to the local economy. SEDO is considered among the most effective and qualified organizations in Iraq. It has conducted economic studies on the business environment in Iraq, identifying business opportunities and market niches for potential investors in Iraq. SEDO started humanitarian intervention in Iraq to respond to the urgent need for our beneficiaries, it's work in WASH, Livelihood, protection, Food security, and Education sectors.
Job Summary:
The Livelihoods Officer will support the technical implementation of the cash transfer project through ensuring that the project activities are done within the time frame. Organize and manage the distribution of cash to targeted households.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1- Implement Livelihoods programme activities, such as beneficiary registration, assessment and counselling, CfW attendance monitoring, livelihoods counselling and training, and cash distributions, as directed by Team Leader and/or Project Manager. Identify and reports challenges and concerns to Team Leader and/or Project Manager, assist in developing solutions.
2- Manage Assistants and temporary Enumerators, including ensuring satisfactory completion of tasks and responsibilities, identifying performance issues and assisting with the development if Performance Improvement Plans, under guidance of in Team Leader and/or Project Manager.
3-Participate in field assessments and surveys such as market assessments, price monitoring, labour market analysis and social cohesion mapping.
4- Compile and submit written project updates, assist with the preparation of project reports, human interest stories and other narrative documents as required.
5-Assist in preparing the required documentation for the procurement of goods and services in compliance with SEDO requirements and delivered in a timely manner.
6-Ensure equal participation through all stages of the project from all members of the community, taking into consideration gender, age, ethnic identities and clan and tribal affiliations.
7-Conduct activities in a community- and rights-based, participatory manner, maintaining an Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD), and conflict-sensitive approach to community engagement.
Ensure that all activities are clearly documented as per SEDO’s procedures, requirements, and / or regulations.

Any other duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager.
Conduct duties in accordance with SEDO Code of Conduct.
Make sure to spread a positive image of (SEDO)and its activities by explaining what SEDO is doing and why SEDO operates in that way.
1- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience of work
2-Strong written communication skills, experience writing reports or other narrative documents.
3- Experience managing staff and leading small teams.
4- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to engage with communities, authorities and other stakeholders.
5- Fluent in Arabic, English, and preferred in Kurdish languages.
6-Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable people, taking into account gender, age and diversity.
7- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as part of a team to achieve joint objectives, in a multicultural context.
8-Ability to act calmly in tense situations, handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, and act with transparency and integrity.
9- Solution-oriented approach, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
10-Detail oriented, with the ability to organise and manage information, plan and manage workload, prioritise, and deliver to deadlines.
11-Demonstrable understanding of the local context, key humanitarian issues and displacement trends.
12-Competence in basic Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
13-Willingness and capacity to work in the field and travel frequently to project sites as required.
