Duty Station: Iraq – Baghdad Office
Reports to: Premises Manager
Duration of Contract: 12 Month fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal to an open-ended contract. For internal candidates, this contract may be open-ended based on your existing contract status.

Objective:
The Helper provides support by carrying out simple tasks. The purpose of this position is to assist in daily operational tasks, including supporting team members and handling basic maintenance duties. The main objectives are to provide timely assistance, contribute to a smooth workflow of operations, and enhance efficiency by offering support where needed and reducing delays.
Key Responsibilities:
With the coordination of the Premises Assistant assists with the following: -
- In charge of refilling, dispatching water bottles and gas cylinders within the office and residences.
- Offloading & Loading of Material
- Dispatching material upon instruction of Premises Assistant to ICRC offices & residences
- Support to domestic staff of all residences for the heavy cleaning (moving of furniture, removing curtains for example)
- Assist the Premises Assistant in packing and storing furniture received from different sites considering the appropriate storing policy.
- Assists in delivering and collecting necessary document for all premises staff upon request, such as (salary sheets, identification documents, social security documents … etc)
- Keeps the supervisor aware and updated of all maintenance request received from the Domestic staff.
Education and Professional Experience required:
- Primary school education.
- Fluent in Arabic, Basic knowledge of English.
- 2 years' work experience in a similar field.
- Good physical condition to handle the job's physical requirements.
