Overall goal:
The Grant senior officer plays a key role in developing and monitoring the Grant strategies for the Erbil Mission.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Develop UOSSM France Erbil Mission Grants Strategy in collaboration with program manager.
- Maps donors, monitors donor funding opportunities and donors' geographical strategies and makes recommendations accordingly.
- He/she may meet with new donors to present the UOSSM France Erbil mission strategy. And its scope of work.
- The senior officer keeps track of minutes of donor meetings and follows up on action points and outstanding issues.
- oversees the development of communication materials for donors in coordination and collaboration with the UOSSM France Media officer.
- makes a strong contribution to the definition of the mission's Grant strategies and develops and monitors the action plans emanating from it.
- Develops all project documents, including but not limited to concept notes, proposals, requests for approval, budget and other project's documents based on the donor forms.
- makes sure that the contractual terms proposed by the donor or Lead Recipient before the start of a project are realistic and applicable, given the local context and internal UOSSM France policies procedures.
- plans and leads all grant launching and closing meetings with the donor.
Required qualifications, experience and skills
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in international humanitarian/emergency contexts [Required].
- Demonstrated experience in proposal writing, donor rules and regulations [Required]
- Experience with key donors: FMOFA, ECHO, EU, GIZ, UN donors and INGO: RI, Care, MDM, MSF [Desirable].
- Experience working In the Syrian context [Required].
Languages:
Good English (written and spoken) mandatory.
Good Kurdish (written and spoken) preferable.
Good Arabic (written and spoken) preferable.
