
Backup Cook:
The Cook will be responsible for assisting the Primary Cook in preparing healthy lunches for staff and for independently preparing meals in accordance with food hygiene standards when the Primary Cook is unavailable.
Office Keeper/Cleaner:
The office keeper will be responsible for cleaning and arranging the office and accommodation of the staff of Samaritan's Purse Office and houses in Snuni and ensure that the office and staff accommodation is clean and orderly at all times. He-She will also be responsible for assisting the other office keeper in the service of the guests of the office. In addition, he-she shall carry out all the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to her by Samaritan's Purse Organization with a generous and serving spirit.
Backup Cook Job Duties:
- Assist the Primary Cook in preparing five healthy lunch meals per week for the team, and independently prepare five healthy lunch meals per week when the Primary Cook is unavailable.
- Minimize food waste by monitoring the number of staff present for lunch each working day.
- Keep track of cooking supplies and promptly communicate any supply needs to the Senior Logistics Officer
- Follow the principles of food hygiene such as:
- Wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and running water before handling food
- Use separate cutting boards to cut meat and for preparing produce
- Separate raw and cooked foods to prevent contamination
- Do not place cooked food on surfaces that previously held uncooked or raw meat, eggs or poultry
- Wash all surfaces you use to cut meat in warm, soapy water
- Keep meat in separate grocery bags to prevent bacteria from spreading to other products
- Fruits and vegetables should be rinsed thoroughly to eliminate dirt and bacteria
- Store food at the proper temperature
Complete other activities as directed by the Line Manager and performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritans Purse with a generous and serving spirit.
Office Keeper / Cleaner Job Duties:
- Conducting the cleaning schedule on a daily basis and depending on the needs and changing requirements of the offices and houses including cleaning all the baths and other sanitary facilities and the arrangement of offices and rooms affiliated to the office of Samaritan's Purse Organization in Snuni.
- Conducting the cleaning schedule on a daily basis for the staff living quarters; that is, cleaning all the bathrooms, toilets, arranging beds and washing all the covers, sheets and making sure of the cleanliness of the staff accommodation, ensuring a healthy environment for the employees.
- Cleaning the areas around the houses and the area within the gates surrounding the office and staff accommodation houses.
- Reporting to the Logistics Officer about the required detergent materials for the cleaning purpose.
- Maintaining the office furniture and equipment and immediately reporting to the logistics coordinator about any damages to be repaired in any caravan or in any other assets belong to Samaritan's Purse Organization.
- Support the cook in preparing the kitchen so that all employees can easily access to tea and coffee and ensure the cleanliness of cooking utensils and all parts of the kitchen after the staff finish eating the lunch.
- Ensure hospitality for all visitors and guests of the office by serving with water, coffee or tea and that they are well received in accordance with the ethical conduct of the organization.
