Job Title: Communication and social media Intern

Organization: Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW)

Location: KOHRW HQ, Erbil, Ainkawa, Pank City, Villa 132

Employment Type: Internship (Full-time or part-time depending on availability)

Reports To: Program Director

About KOHRW:

KOHRW is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to human rights and development. Since 1989, we have worked across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in areas like protection, education, and social cohesion.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and posting social media content.
  • Update the website and social media under supervision of relevant staff.
  • Assist in taking photos and writing short updates from field activities.
  • Maintain visual ID of the organization in all media outlets.
  • Assist in collecting stories or quotes from project beneficiaries.
  • Assist in translating texts for media use.

Assist in managing E-Systems, (E-applications systems, E-server, IT support, emails, COBO system, virtual meetings.).

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, marketing, IT, English, or a related field.
  • Writing and editing skills (English, Arabic and or Kurdish)
  • Interest in humanitarian and human rights work.
  • IT skills, including familiarity with website management, graphic and video editing.
  • Punctual and accurate and attention to details, Ability to work under pressure
  • Good teamwork and communication.
