Shareteah Humanitarian Organization (SHO) is an Iraqi National NGO promoting safety & development through mine action and explosive ordnance risk education (EORE)awareness, and clearance of mines, explosives and remnants of war.to assistance for people affected by armed conflict. Founded in 2016, SHO has organized & executed programs throughout Iraq. including the provinces of Nineveh, Duhok, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Anbar, and Baghdad. It currently holds offices in Duhok and Mosul.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

The Information Management Officer responsibilities include collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining. accurate records of valuable NGO information. An ideal candidate should have essential mapping (Google Earth) and data entry skills, like fast typing with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and essential GIS tools. The work will be coordinated with a team that sets off to the field and a team leader.  Previous experience as an Information Management (IMO) GIS, Data Entry in Mine Action or similar position will be considered an advantage

  • Compile, verify the accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • overseeing the collection, organization, storage, and dissemination of information within an organization. The IMO ensures that information is accurate, complete, and accessible to those who need it.
  • implementing and maintaining information management systems, such as databases, document management systems, and knowledge management systems. They may also be responsible for training employees on how to use these systems and ensuring that they comply with information management.
  • responsible for developing training programs and providing guidance to staff on best practices for information management. They may work closely with other departments within the organization.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check the output
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Visit fill to understand and advice on data collection issues
  • Generate reports, including maps, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
  • Scan documents and print files when needed
  • Maintain work confidentiality
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions
  • Any other Tasks required by the line manager

Essential Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of INSMA forms
  • Excellent skills in Excel and data analysis
  • Solid experience in data management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Understanding of GIS and database systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear communication skills
