Driver - سائق

Main purpose of the job:

Performing the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety conditions and respecting the country's traffic rules and MSF security rules, in order to provide a safe, smooth and efficient service

تنفيذ مهام نقل البضائع المصرح بها والركاب في مركبة تابعة لمنظمة أطباء بلا حدود، مع ضمان سلامتها الفنية والأمنية، والالتزام بقوانين المرور في البلد وقواعد السلامة الخاصة بالمنظمة، بهدف تقديم خدمة آمنة وسلسة وفعّالة.

• Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), performing weekly check according to the MSF Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions. Carrying out a hand over if another uses the vehicle
• Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country as well as MSF security rules, in order to avoid car accidents.
• Ensuring all passengers have all necessary papers in order before travelling, and ensuring non MSF staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle
• Ensuring correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, submitting the documents to the receiver of the goods, checking the status of delivered goods, returning the duly completed documents to Logistics and ensuring that the goods have the necessary documents
• Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver's driving license are valid and in the vehicle.
• Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and/or goods.
• Knowing how to use all types of radios, codes, call numbers and radio alphabets by heart and communicating with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver's position and any potential implications.
• Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensuring all passengers know and respect the security rules
• Performing any other tasks as directed by the supervisor and according to the needs of the mission.

• فحص الحالة الفنية للمركبة يوميًا (حالة الإطارات، الزيت، الوقود، المكابح، أجهزة الراديو، قطع الغيار… إلخ)، وإجراء الفحص الأسبوعي وفقًا لسجل المركبة الخاص بالمنظمة، وإعادة التزود عند الحاجة، والحفاظ على نظافتها، وضمان جاهزيتها التامة للقيادة، وتسليمها بحالة جيدة عند استخدامها من قبل شخص آخر.
• ضمان سلامة الركاب داخل المركبة، والقيادة بحذر، والالتزام بحدود السرعة وقوانين المرور في البلد وقواعد السلامة الخاصة بالمنظمة، لتجنب الحوادث.
• التأكد من امتلاك جميع الركاب الوثائق اللازمة قبل السفر، وضمان توقيع غير موظفي المنظمة على إخلاء مسؤولية قبل استخدام المركبة.
• ضمان التحميل والتفريغ الصحيح للمركبة، وتسليم المستندات لمستلم البضائع، والتحقق من حالة البضائع المسلمة، وإعادة المستندات المكتملة إلى قسم اللوجستيات، وضمان امتلاك البضائع للوثائق اللازمة.
• التأكد من صلاحية جميع وثائق المركبة ورخصة القيادة، وأن تكون موجودة في المركبة.
• إبلاغ المشرف المباشر بأي حادث يتضمن نقل ركاب أو بضائع.
• معرفة طريقة استخدام جميع أنواع أجهزة الراديو، والأكواد، وأرقام النداء، والحروف اللاسلكية عن ظهر قلب، والتواصل مع القاعدة وفقًا لسياسة الاتصالات بالمنظمة لإبلاغ الموقع وأي مستجدات محتملة.
• معرفة واحترام قواعد السلامة المتعلقة بحركة المركبات، خصوصًا تلك المتعلقة بالجمارك ونقاط التفتيش والحواجز، وضمان معرفة جميع الركاب بهذه القواعد والالتزام بها
• تنفيذ أي مهام أخرى يحددها المشرف وفقًا لاحتياجات المهمة.

• Punctual transportation of staff, goods, equipment, and medicines, including parcels delivery with proper documentation and assistance in loading/unloading when required.
• Follow his/her roster, duty rotations prepared by line supervisor and remain flexible in case of operational needs defined by supervisory line,
• Vehicle Care & Inspections – Perform daily pre-trip checks, maintain cleanliness and equipment, accompany vehicles during servicing, and accurately record fuel usage and maintenance details in logbooks.
• Safety & Compliance – Drive in full compliance with local traffic laws, speed limits, and road restrictions in Baghdad city; promptly report accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues; and participate in ongoing safety training.
• Operational Support – Manage vehicle movements during night/weekend shifts, support the watchman after hours, and ensure all vehicle documents and legal papers are present at the start of each day
• Drivers should adher to the ‘MSF OCG Drivers Rules And Regulations’ & the IRAQ_Country Specific Transport_Policy.

• النقل الدقيق وفي الوقت المحدد للموظفين، والبضائع، والمعدات، والأدوية، بما في ذلك توصيل الطرود مع المستندات المطلوبة والمساعدة في التحميل/التفريغ عند الحاجة.

• السلامة والالتزام – القيادة بما يتوافق تمامًا مع قوانين المرور المحلية وحدود السرعة والقيود الطرقية في مدينة بغداد، والإبلاغ الفوري عن الحوادث أو الأعطال الميكانيكية، والمشاركة في تدريبات السلامة المستمرة.
• الدعم التشغيلي – إدارة حركة المركبات أثناء المناوبات الليلية/عطلة نهاية الأسبوع، ودعم الحارس بعد ساعات العمل، وضمان توفر جميع الوثائق القانونية في بداية كل يوم.
• الالتزام بـ قواعد ولوائح السائقين الخاصة بمنظمة أطباء بلا حدود – مكتب عمليات جنيف وسياسة النقل الخاصة بالعراق.
