Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Consortium Coordinator will oversee the implementation of project activities focusing on strengthening the capacities of youth-led and women-led civil society organizations in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as well as supporting and coordinating the project´s implementation with project partner and key stakeholders. Together with the Country Director of Iraq and in close collaboration with Global Technical Advisor for youth-engagement and CSIG programming, Consortium Coordinator will ensure synergies with other civil society development initiatives in the country.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Project and Consortium Coordination

  • Lead liaison activities with the consortium partner as the key focal point for strategy, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the consortium project, including monthly coordination forums, monthly progress updates, and formal reporting according to the agreed Donor’s schedule,
  • Manages the implementation of all project activities according to international best practices and following PIN capacity-building methodology and FSTP procedures,
  • Based on the inputs from the field (Project Field Assistant) and from the partner (Project manager) prepares timely and high-quality reports to be submitted to donors and PIN headquarters,
  • Tracks project expenditure through monthly program review meetings,
  • Ensures compliance with donor and PIN internal policies, and procedures,
  • Develops the project procurement plan in collaboration with Procurement team
  • Contributes to risk analysis, managing risks and issues of project,
  • Closely works with MEAL department and provides him/her with all the project updates, especially when it comes to progress on indicators and quality assessment of the intervention,
  • Closely works with Regional Communication & Advocacy Manager in the collection of information for communication and promotion purposes (Facebook, Instagram, PIN webpage, etc.) in line with donor requirements,
  • In collaboration with in-country MEAL team ensures that proper Community Feedback and Response Mechanisms (CFRM) channels are set up within Project Consortium (based on the consultations w/target groups),
  • Facilitate coordination meetings among consortium partners’ programs, finance and MEAL teams, consortium’s working groups and relevant advisors, creating a culture of recurrent exchanges,
  • In coordination with CP management, represent PIN and the consortium in relevant meetings, clusters and other coordination forums, as necessary.

Implementation of PIN Capacity-building methodology and FSTP procedures

  • Ensures the successful execution of CSO capacity development initiatives in alignment with project(s) objectives,
  • Conducts regular field visits to monitor field activities, and provides advisory support to project-target CSOs,
  • Ensures that FSTP recipients submit quality proposals and reports and FSTP documentation is properly archived in ELO
  • Ensure that project data is regularly updated in Navision and project documentation is properly archived in ELO
  • Together with the Project Field Assistant, monitors activities of sub-grantees as a part of FSTP schemes

 

CSIG programe development

  • Under supervision and guidance of Technical Advisor and in line with the PIN Iraq Program Strategy, develops comprehensive programmatic strategies in CSOs capacity building and FSTPs schemes that are contextually aligned and responsive to evolving dynamics, through close coordination with stakeholders and ongoing assessment of the landscape,
  • Participates in PIN internal and external coordination mechanisms, joins capacity building and meetings related to the sector,
  • Acts as the primary liaison for all CSOs capacity building-related matters, serving as the central point of contact for inquiries and initiatives related to such programming for PIN Iraq,
  • Together with MEAL department and project partner, collects lessons learnt and best practices, provides technical expertise and support on programming tailored to beneficiaries, and ensures they align with PIN standards, strategies and contextual priorities,
  • Represents PIN in fora and events taking place in Iraq related to civil society development and follow trends in the sector,
  • Identifies opportunities for additional funding or partnerships to maximize the impact and scope of the project in Iraq (and the region),
  • Performs other job-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 

  • PERSONAL QUALITIES

    • Minimum Bachelor´s degree in development or related field (e.g. social sciences),
    • 2 years of proven experiences in coordination of projects with local stakeholders,
    • Experience with establishing and capacitating civil society organizations/groups, in particularly working with youths and women of Iraq and Kurdistan Region of Iraq, peacebuilding initiatives, advocacy efforts.
    • Ability and experience with writing quality reports upon in-depth desk research, and inputs from various partners/team members (proven writing skill).
    • Good networking, representation, coordination, and negotiation skills with various stakeholders incl. government authorities,
    • Good communication and presentation skills and capacity to work under pressure,
    • Good command of MS Office package (word, excel, ppt, outlook, SharePoint),
    • Advanced English (both spoken and written).
