Project Title

Strengthening Women’s Voices in Anbar

Project Background and Objective

Women in Anbar face significant barriers to economic participation, including limited access to vocational and employment opportunities, high unemployment, restrictive social expectations, discrimination in hiring, and limited access to safe and suitable workplaces. These barriers reduce women’s access to professional experience and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The project aims to strengthen women’s voices and enhance their influence at the community level in Al-Anbar through economic empowerment measures. Under the Women’s Employability and Job Placement component, BWA will support 30 women from Anbar through employability training followed by two-month part-time employment placements/internships with private companies, NGOs, and local institutions.

The employability training consists of two intensive three-day training sessions attended by the same group of 30 women, for a total of six training days per participant. The overall training covers office administration, basic IT skills, customer service, project/field support, and employability skills. This ToR covers the three-day training focused on office administration, basic IT skills, and customer service.

Objective of the Assignment

The objective of the assignment is to strengthen the practical employability skills of 30 women and prepare them for workplace environments and the subsequent two-month employment placement/internship component. The training will focus on office administration, basic IT skills, and customer service relevant to potential employment opportunities in private companies, NGOs, and local institutions.

  • Adapt the training approach and level to the participants’ educational backgrounds, previous experience, and identified needs.
  • Coordinate with the BWA project team and MEAL Officer regarding the project’s pre- and post-training assessment requirements.
  • Prepare and submit a brief training report summarizing the training delivered, participation, key observations, participant feedback, and recommendations.
