Request for Information (RFI): Provision of In-Person Interpretation and Translation Services – Central and Southern Iraq

INTERSOS, an independent humanitarian organization founded in 1992, is dedicated to assisting victims of natural disasters, armed conflicts, and social exclusion. Our mission is built upon the principles of neutrality, impartiality, and independence, ensuring that aid reaches those most in need regardless of race, religion, or political affiliation.

Since 2003, INTERSOS has maintained a robust presence in Iraq, collaborating with local communities and authorities to restore dignity and provide essential services. As we continue to implement and expand our multisectoral activities—encompassing Protection, Health, and Education—clear and accurate communication remains a cornerstone of our operational success.

Call for Service Providers

INTERSOS Iraq is currently seeking to identify and pre-qualify professional Service Providers for the provision of In-Person Translation and Interpretation Services. This call is open to:

• Companies/Agencies with a proven track record in language services.
• Individual Freelance Professionals with documented experience in humanitarian or technical translation.

Geographic Focus

We are specifically targeting service providers with the capacity to operate within the Central and Southern Governorates of Iraq. The primary areas of operation include, but are not limited to, Baghdad, Wassit, Missan Basra, and Diyala.

Selected providers will be responsible for facilitating dialogue between INTERSOS personnel and local stakeholders, ensuring that technical terminology is conveyed accurately and with the necessary cultural nuance required for humanitarian field operations.

Submission of Information

Interested parties (both legal entities and individuals) are requested to provide their professional credentials, geographic availability, and service rates through our official portal.
